The Great Barrier Reef is located offshore of Queensland, Australia and has been a World Heritage Site since 1981.

Much of the reef is protected by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.

Although fishing and tourism are limited in some areas to protect the reef, these industries remain an important part of Australia’s economy.

The Whitsunday Islands and Cairns regions are some of the most popular places for tourism.

When you move to Australia with IntlMOVE, you will want to check out these places to see one of the most amazing natural wonders in the world.
